Tinkers Construct Mod
Maybe like some of you may know as part of minecraft, I love these types of complex mods. This one adds in a ton of new ways to modify your tools, like a new enchantment-like system, which is really foreseeable. The tools also get new graphics when advanced, and this mod adds in a few new sorts of weapons, and some comedy weapons like the Frying Pan, Battle Sign, and a few more. Now, onto the more significant stuff. I won’t be going too much into detail on crafting, when everything’s in the book you get when you make a world with this mod fixed. You get more books when you progress through the mod, as well. This mod also operates well with the Naturar mod, and they’re almost like sister mods in that case.
It does help some tools cheaper thanks to all of this complication, though. Iron pickaxes only require 2 iron ingots if you want the pickaxe to be made out of all iron. It’ll wind up having a durability of over three hundred in that case. But you can combine different heads with different bindings and different rods.
Now, you’ll notice in the book some different stats on the different materials. Durability and stuff like that. The handle modifier changes how much the pickax’s durability is based on that. Therefore, an iron pick with a stone handle would have half the durability like the iron head has said before.
When you make your first weapon you’ll notice that you get these things called chunks, shards, and whatnot when you make the bindings or the rods. This is worth half of whatever material you put in. If you have a part that costs .5 of a material, it will accept either an iron ingot, and return a tool rod and an iron chunk, or will accept an iron chunk and return a tool rod.
You’ll have to use the materials made inside the Tool Station to put them with each other. Just click on the icon of whatever tool you want to make on the left, place the materials in, and pull the tool out.
These tools will never break, either. Well, they won’t disappear when broken. You can fix them by putting in the similar materials used to create the pickaxe head into the first tab of the Tool Station.
There’s also a multi-block structure in this mod. I may not be a huge fan of multi-blocks, but I actually like this one. It’s a giant furnace that runs off of lava, and is used in making various alloys in the mod.
This mod is way too complex for me to state literally everything about it. That and it’s meant to be played with, not read about. Various items need various parts to make, and when you put them together in different combinations, such as an ax with an iron head, an obsidian binding, and a wood rod, then you’ll get a ton of different effects from each of the parts, and it will look like you’ve made it from iron, obsidian, and wood instead of looking like the same weapon with different enchantments. Jump in and see what kind of cool tools you can make.
If you like an obscene amount of customization I would highly, HIGHLY recommend you download this. I can’t have a thought of a way for minecraft to be more customized than by choosing each material that goes into your tools and weapons.
